5th Annual Student Foreign Policy Debate, Oct. 24th

October10

The International Issues Discussion (IID) series at Ryerson University is pleased to co-host the Fifth Annual Canadian International Council (CIC) (Toronto Branch) Foreign Affairs Student Debate between Hart House (University of Toronto) and the Ryerson History Society.

The debate question will be: “This House Believes that all nations have the right to nuclear arms.” Speaking in favour is the team from Ryerson. Speaking against is the team from Hart House. Comments – and voting – from the House (YOU the audience!) will be part of the proceedings, as will a panel of esteemed and incorruptible judges from both schools.

The winning team claims the prestigious CIC University Cup.

The event will be held Wednesday, October 24 at 7:00 pm in ENG 103 (George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre: 245 Church Street, at the corner of Gould and Church: see www.ryerson.ca/maps) at Ryerson University, Toronto.

All are welcome and admission is free. Registration at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/5th-annual-cic-toronto-student-foreign-policy-debate-tickets-50730279632 is encouraged. Light refreshments will be provided.

Please circulate notice of the event as widely as possible. A poster advertising the talk is attached.
