If you are interested in applying for work as an assistant please contact Dr. Kislenko for further instructions and criteria. In general, all assistants must meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n<p>1) have a minimum Honours BA in History, International Relations, or similar field. Ideally be enrolled in a graduate programme (Masters or PhD level) at an accredited institution, preferably in History or International Relations, although other programmes may be acceptable<\/p>\n<p>2) be able and willing to work in accordance with the class timetables Dr. Kislenko has in the given term<\/p>\n<p>3) be able and willing to work as part of a team and to have an interactive approach to teaching and learning<\/p>\n<p>4) be genuinely committed to teaching with an obvious enthusiasm and desire to learn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TAs Fall 2022:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>HST 540<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"annotationLayer\"><strong>Aidan Kerr<\/strong> is a doctoral student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto and holds both a Master&#8217;s Degree in Immigration and Settlement Studies and a BA in Politics from Ryerson<br \/>University. His research focus is on human trafficking, intelligence sharing, and international relations. Aidan has extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant and is always willing to provide insight on his academic journey. Email: <a href=\"mailto:aidan.kerr@ryerson.ca\">aidan.kerr@ryerson.ca<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"annotationLayer\"><br \/><strong>Tristan Hubbard<\/strong> graduated from the Ryerson Honours History program, and is currently finishing a History MA program at Western University. His interests lay in studying US history, especially its history of international relations, foreign and presidential policies. For his Thesis\/Cognate, he is writing a paper about US historiography throughout the 20th century and how American historians built the idea &#8211; or myth to some &#8211; of US &#8220;Isolationism&#8221; in the 1910s, 20s and 30s. Having graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University&#8217;s Performance: Production program with a minor in<br \/>History, she now researches instances of theatre and performance in times of war and confinement, particularly in prisoner of war and displacement camps during the Second World War era.
